As a response to a worldwide COVID-19 tourism trend, Kenya has launched a virtual live stream campaign to display safaris and national park reserves across the country. This campaign will be broadcasted for 6 weeks and will be part of the ongoing Magic Awaits campaign led by the Kenya Tourism Board. As the African nation (considered the World’s Leading Safari Destination by voters of the World Travel Awards) has seen a decline in tourism revenue during the lockdown, it will be a refreshing way to reach the wide audience of the online world in an interactive manner, and consequentially, ensure that everyone stays connected to the destination.

Najib Balala, the cabinet secretary for tourism and wildlife: “Our international tourism business is completely cut off and we have to still share destination memories with travelers. This venture, which begins here at the Nairobi National Park will allow us to document our diverse wildlife in the national parks and game reserves, thrilling adventures, beautiful lodges, and unique cultures and conservation projects that Kenya has become world-famous for.”
